Evaluación de los servicios a empresas brindados por el Centro de Extensionismo Industrial en el período 2014 – 2017

Resumen:

"El Centro de Extensionismo Industrial (CEI) comienza a funcionar en el año 2014 con el objetivo de detectar demandas tecnológicas en pymes industriales y articularlas con la oferta de apoyos y conocimiento. El presente informe constituye la primera evaluación de los servicios que brinda el CEI a empresas, considerando el periodo 2014-2017, y apunta a conocer el desempeño de la intervención. Durante este período el CEI ha brindado Consultas de Orientación Tecno-Competitiva (COTC) a 204 empresas de cinco sectores industriales (Alimentario, Maderero, Metalúrgico, Plástico y Químico) con una alta cobertura del territorio nacional. Los resultados presentados muestran la necesidad, por un lado, de contar con distintos tipos de servicios que permitan atender a las diversas poblaciones de empresas con sus problemáticas distintivas y, por otro lado, de mantener un servicio proactivo de búsqueda de demandas. Los servicios de orientación del CEI fueron capaces de vincular a las empresas con el Sistema Nacional de Innovación (SNI), promoviendo la solicitud de apoyos y el acercamiento a diversos actores de la oferta de conocimiento, entre ellos la academia. Un alto porcentaje de las empresas atendidas ha trabajado en el plan de acción propuesto por el CEI, lo que ha impactado positivamente en sus capacidades empresariales y de innovación, y se ha reflejado en un mejor desempeño del negocio.

Abstract:

The Industrial Extension Center (CEI) starts operating in 2014 with the aim of detecting technological demands in industrial SMEs and articulating them with the existing supply of support and knowledge. This report is the first evaluation of the services provided by the CEI to companies, considering the 2014-2017 period, and aims to assess the performance of the intervention. During this period, the CEI has provided Technological and Competitive Guidance Consultations (COTC) to 204 companies from five industrial sectors (Food, Wood, Metallurgy, Plastic and Chemical) with a high coverage of the national territory. The results presented show the need, on the one hand, to have different types of services and supports to attend the different populations of SMEs with their distinctive problems and, on the other hand, to maintain a pro-active search of demand. The guidance services provided by the CEI were able to link the companies with the National Innovation System (NIS), by promoting the request for support and facilitating the approach to various actors of the knowledge supply, including academia. A high percentage of the companies served has been working on the action plans proposed by the CEI, which had a positive impact on their business and innovation capabilities, reflected in better business performance."
